NYC Parents in a “Financial Spiral” Jump to Their Certain Death Due to Unaffordable Costs of Health Care

While this story is a sad one, it’s a prime example of how an ordinary, middle-class couple can resort to suicide as a way to escape the high costs of health care. The biggest takeaway is to think that the GOP wanted to cram Trumpcare down America’s throat and make the current health care situation in America even grimmer.

Democrats, including VP Joe Biden, have admitted that Obamacare isn’t perfect, but it’s a huge step in the right direction. Meanwhile, Republicans want to save a few measly dollars for themselves and help their friends in Big Pharma.

According to the New York Post, a man, 53, and woman, 50, jumped from the 9th floor of a 17-story building near the Empire State Building in Manhattan’s Murray Hill neighborhood.

One officer at the scene told the Post that the couple’s suicide note said they were in a “financial spiral” and “both have medical issues, we just can’t afford the health care.” The saddest part in the note referred to the children they left behind upstairs who needed care after their parents’ departure.

Around the same time, Sen. John McCain heroically voted “no” on the “skinny repeal” version of Obamacare. Susan Collins of Maine and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska joined McCain in voting “no.”
