Secretary of State Rex Tillerson’s Growing Animosity Toward Trump Hints at Upcoming Resignation

There’s a growing rift between Sec. of State Rex Tillerson and President Trump that could lead to Tillerson’s departure at any moment. Tillerson isn’t the kind of guy who will kiss up to Trump or kiss the ring so to speak.

A new report by NBC News revealed that White House officials pleaded with Tillerson over the summer to remain in his post. The primary person who urged Tillerson to stay was none other than VP Mike Pence.

Tillerson became more disgusted with Trump than ever before following Trump’s controversial speech before the Boy Scouts of America. The address struck a chord with Tillerson since he was once the leader of the pack.

The NBC report adds that only days before Trump’s Boy Scouts speech, Tillerson called the president a “moron” in a meeting with other White Houe officials.

State Department spokesman R.C. Hammond denied any bad blood between Tillerson and Trump. He said Tillerson never called Trump a “moron.”

Following Trump’s atrocious response to Charlottesville, in which he failed to condemn the white nationalist community, Tillerson said the president “speaks for himself” in a Fox News interview.
