Sen. John McCain Diagnosed with Deadly Form of Brain Cancer, He’s in Everyone’s Prayers


Six-term Republican Senator and former presidential candidate John McCain has officially been diagnosed with brain cancer. After originally being admitted to the hospital to remove a blood clot from his eye, further tests found cancer.

On Saturday, McCain’s office announced his eye surgery, and that pathology reports could be expected in the coming days.

Today, the hospital released the following statement:

“Subsequent tissue pathology revealed that a primary brain tumor known as a glioblastoma was associated with the blood clot.”

“The Senator and his family are reviewing further treatment options with his Mayo Clinic care team. Treatment options may include a combination of chemotherapy and radiation,” the statement added.
