On Tuesday Golf.com reported that Donald Trump called the White House “a dump.” Following that revelation, Chelsea Clinton went on Twitter to thank all the White House residence staff for their role in keeping the presidential home running.
“Thank you to all the White House ushers, butlers, maids, chefs, florists, gardeners, plumbers, engineers & curators for all you do every day,” Clinton tweeted in defense of her former home.
Golf.com reported that Trump told patrons of his Bedminster golf club that the historic presidential residence is “a real dump” in an effort to explain his frequent visits. Apparently Trump feels comfortable expressing such views because he tends to be “unguarded among the people who pay for their proximity to him.”
Clinton began living in the White House at the age of 12 after her father, former President Bill Clinton, was sworn into office in 1993.
Trump has lived in the White House for just over six months, a residence that every president since John Adams starting in 1800 has lived at.
Clinton wasn’t the only one who thought Trump’s words were disgraceful:
Trump thinks the White House is a real dump. Well, many Americans think a human heap of garbage has taken up residence there. https://t.co/4sfIyJ3re4

Imagine for a single second if Obama had called the White House a "real dump." https://t.co/wbMh14Fbk1

Incredible. Will this be reported by Fox? Probably not. I'm sure if it had been Obama, it would have been news forever.
