Rumors are swirling within the White House’s most inner circles suggesting that the question isn’t if but when Trump will resign. He’s reportedly considered resigning, but he doesn’t want to throw in the towel as Nixon did.
Jon Cooper recently posted the following tweets:
“WH source: Alarmed Trump staffers are starting to talk about WHEN (not if) Trump will resign. Wondering if Pence will be forced out, too.”
“Source who’s been accurate in past tells me there have been some preliminary talks in WH re POTUS resigning. Mostly hypothetical what-ifs.”
The Russia investigation is weighing down on Trump, yet he’s found a way to hide his frustrations. Notice how he never talks about Russia anymore after the first months of his presidency focused on Russia. Mueller’s investigation hasn’t gone anywhere, but Trump’s attention has.
Trump has found a way to vent his frustrations by attacking anyone who crosses him on Twitter. He’s created a steady stream of distractions that have effectively kept the public eye away from Russia.
However, Trump’s former campaign manager, Paul Manafort, could be the key to Trump’s resignation, according to Keith Olberman.
“Manafort has been ‘flipped.’ Reports say it was Manafort who told the FBI about a meeting between Trump’s eldest son, Donald Jr., and a Russian lawyer linked to the Kremlin. That would be terrible news for the president if true: the FBI’s investigation into alleged collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia now being assisted by the manager of that campaign.”
America is patiently waiting for Mueller’s investigation to conclude.
