Could jet lag be getting to Donald Trump? He’s had several “senior” moments this week including his freshest during a roundtable meeting at the G20 Summit.
Video footage shows him daydreaming before British PM Theresa May had to snap him out of it. The moment was odd for Trump since all leaders in the room were being asked to pose for photos. Trump literally pushed other world leaders out of the way for a photo op last time he visited Europe.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Chinese President Xi Jinping were also in the vicinity.
After the routable meeting, Trump finally met his good buddy Vladimir Putin. The two men were scheduled to meet for thirty minutes, but the meeting lasted much longer, eclipsing the 2-hour mark.
According to the WH press pool, their meeting lasted exactly two hours and sixteen minutes. However, the press was banned from entering the private meeting.
There were only six people in attendance including Trump, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, Vladimir Putin, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and two interpreters — one for each side.
Before the two men entered their private meeting, Trump publicly stated that it was “an honor to be with you [Putin].”
