What Do Americans Truly Think Of The GOP Leadership? CNN Ran A Poll To Find Out, And The Results Are In! [DETAILS]

In a poll recently conducted by SSRS for CNN News only 29 percent of those polled view the Republican Party favorably.

The previous low point for the GOP was 30%; in October 2013 following the federal government shutdown over President Barack Obama’s health care law, and December 1998, following the House of Representatives approving two articles of impeachment against President Bill Clinton.

Of the Republicans polled 79 percent believe President Trump is taking the party in the right direction while 53 percent believe the Republican leaders in Congress are not taking the party in the right direction.

Approval of the party’s leadership is at an all-time low during CNN’s polling at 20 percent; House Speaker Paul Ryan’s favorability has dipped to 32 percent, a six-point drop since April, and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is at 20% a seven-point drop. Of the Republicans, 75 percent believe Trump is cooperating the right amount with members of his own party.
